Valencia's Finest Dining Spots with Stunning Views: A Top 5 Guide

Nothing beats dining or drinking with a view. Whether it’s enjoying a meal at a rooftop restaurant or sipping coffee at a scenic café, soaking up the sun’s rays adds a special touch. In winter, finding a warm, sunny spot becomes crucial if you want to sit outside. Here’s our guide to Valencia’s top 5 rooftop restaurants and bars with stunning views!

One of our favorite spots during our January visit to Valencia was the rooftop of The Valentia hotel. This elegant venue offers a restaurant, cocktail lounge, and cozy café all in one, with amazing views of the Cathedral and historic quarter. Dining above the bustling streets gives you a new perspective, revealing details you hadn’t noticed before. The décor is chic, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and lounge furniture under a pergola that’s perfect for enjoying a cocktail in the sun. The menu is diverse, with everything from tapas and salads to paella and pizza, all reasonably priced. Plus, it’s open year-round.

Ateneo Sky Bar is another must-visit, located at the main square Plaza del Ayuntamiento. Although it’s hidden from street view, the search is worth it for the incredible panoramic sights. In winter, the outdoor terrace opens at 5 PM, offering the perfect spot for an after-work drink or evening cocktail while admiring the city’s grand architecture. The restaurant also offers al fresco dining when the weather cooperates and features regular DJ performances and a value-packed set lunch menu. Details can be found on their Facebook page.

Next to Playa Del Cabanyal, part of the new marina, is a restaurant ideal for dining, having coffee, or enjoying a cocktail with unbeatable views of the beach and sea. With glass screens to block the wind but not the view, it’s a great place to bask in winter sun. Inside, the glass-enclosed restaurant offers the same fantastic views without the chill. While the food is top-notch, it may be on the pricier side, but the weekday lunch menu at around 20€ is a good deal, and a coffee and cake are more affordable options.

The trendy Beach Club near Playa Del Cabanyal offers a restaurant with a view, a lounge area, and an infinity pool. It’s a luxury spot for those who want to enjoy the beach atmosphere without the sand. Dining, drinking, sunbathing, and even swimming are all on offer here, though it comes at a cost, with poolside sunbeds starting at 50€ per person per day. In winter, you can still dine outside if weather permits or enjoy the views from the indoor glass-encased restaurant. The lounge sofas outside are perfect for drinks while watching the beach activity.

Veles e Vents, an architectural gem built for America’s Cup 2007, is now home to a few dining spots. Mala Bar, on the first floor, offers the best views and serves unpretentious food at fair prices. A burger here is around 10€, and the three-course weekday lunch menu is just 12€. With superb marina views and seating options in both sun and shade, this trendy spot is a great place to relax. It’s open from Thursday to Sunday in winter and for extended hours in the summer.
