The 9th Nikola Tesla EV Rally Croatia 2022 began in Rovinj, Istria, with an accreditation ceremony hosted by the Mayor, Marko Paliaga. Participants from Europe and beyond traveled an 850 km route over seven days, navigating panoramic roads, four national parks, and visiting 15 cities, enjoying the best of Croatia’s tourist offerings.
This rally is a luxury e-tour blending e-mobility, ecology, and green technology, offering participants a taste of Croatia’s cultural heritage, natural beauty, and culinary delights. The event follows the “Green Electric Highway,” which features strategically placed charging stations.
Participants enjoyed a mix of relaxation and excitement, starting with a tour of central Istria, leading up to sports activities at Vrsar airport. The second half of the rally took them to Šibenik, concluding at Višnjik Sports Center in Zadar.
The award ceremony, hosted by Zadar’s Mayor Dr. Branko Dukić, took place by the sea at the “Greeting to the Sun” solar panel installation. Trophies and local Croatian products were awarded to the winners.
Supported by the Croatian Tourist Board and various government bodies, the rally promotes Croatia as an e-mobility-friendly destination. This year’s rally also donated two more charging stations along the route, ensuring lasting infrastructure for electric vehicles.
